We haven’t performed since the Earshot Jazz Festival show at the SAM, and we are now deep into composing a full set of new material. In order to stay connected to the outside world we are going to start posting short samples of the music we are working on. Comments, feedback, criticism, or any type of communication regarding what you hear is most welcome and appreciated. Check back for more samples over the next couple of months. We are planning on debuting these songs and performing regularly again starting in April.
Sample #1:
Living In The Wilderness sample

Times are changing! Rob Hanlon has recently decided to move to LA. This Saturday’s show will be our last performance with him, which happens to be the two year anniversary of Rob’s very first show with us at Kais Bistro for the University Jazz Walk. Not to mention that it’s also going to be Ivan’s birthday. This will officially be our last show for many months and the last time that we perform any of our current repertoire, maybe forever. Whoa… it’s going to be fun.
We will continue going strong as a four piece, debuting completely new material with a new sound sometime early next year.
We love you, Rob!
Single release:
We have a single coming out soon called Trapped. The single will actually be a two song release: “Trapped,” and “Stop, Drop, and Roll Doesn’t Work in Hell.” The latter song will also be released on the upcoming Racer Sessions Curator Compilation, Vol. II.
Next show:
Our next show will be on November 5th for the annual Earshot Jazz Festival. This performance will be a showcase for our label, Table & Chairs, featuring us and our good buds, Burn List, at the Seattle Art Museum. This show will be the last time we play for many months, and may be the very last time we play material off of our album, Legs (see Future Plans below). Check out details for the show and RSVP on the
Facebook event page!
Back from tour:
We had a great time touring down the West Coast last month. We not only made music every night, we made friends, networking connections, and even a little bit of money!
Future Plans:
It’s already begun… we are writing our second album! Our main focus is now on new music. After the Earshot show in November, we will go into hiding, working harder than ever on creating new material. We are composing a fully collaborative set of music that we hope to bring onto the stage somewhere around March 2012. At that time we will depart for our third West Coast tour, followed by the recording of our second album. Composing exclusively as a group is something very new to us and we are excited to experience the outcome. We remain completely open minded regarding where the music will take us. Whatever it ends up sounding like, it will be garden-fresh, and it will definitely be Operation ID. Can’t wait!
